T20 World Cup 2022 Live

T20 World Cup 2022 Live: The most successful team in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup history are back. West Indies will be determined to regain their crown after a disappointing display in the UAE and Oman last year. After bidding farewell to the likes of Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Chris Gayle, a new-look Windies team has a battle on their hands to recapture past glories.

A fresh challenge awaits the two-time champions, with a tricky First Round to navigate before they can reach the Super 12s, where they exited in 2021.

They’ve been drawn in Group B along with a fast-improving Zimbabwe, last year’s Group B winners Scotland and seven-time qualifiers Ireland. If they manage to win their group, they will avoid 2021 finalists New Zealand and hosts Australia.

But even so, three of the top four teams in the world would stand between them and a fifth semi-final, including India and last year’s semi-finalists Pakistan.

West Indies have claimed series wins over England and Bangladesh since the last World Cup, but they have also suffered whitewash defeats to Pakistan and India and beaten recently by New Zealand and Australia.

One of the greatest moments in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup history belongs to the West Indies and Carlos Brathwaite, whose name certainly won’t be forgotten. At Eden Gardens in the 2016 final, the West Indies required 19 off the final over to better England’s 156 posting.

Up stepped Brathwaite, who wrote his name into folklore by hitting Ben Stokes for four consecutive sixes to clinch their second title.

1. Devon Conway –  Devon Conway who made his T20I debut in the year 2020 has been a major part of his side’s batting lineup for quite some time now. The wicketkeeper-batsman has amassed several important runs for his side while opening the batting.

With a total of 814 runs in just 22 T20I innings so far in his career, Conway’s numbers clearly show his abilities as a batsman in the shortest format of the game. The left-hander has a healthy Strike Rate of 136.5 and an average as good as 50.2. He will be an important part of his team’s plans for the T20 World Cup for sure.

It’s been a task for the Indian think-tank to name a player who provides prowesses nearest to that of Jasprit Bumrah for India’s campaign in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. It’s definitely not easy to fill Bumrah’s shoes, but the selectors will have to name someone and there are a few candidates in reckoning.

The likes of Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj and Deepak Chahar have been in the news for a while and are the most probable candidate to replace Jasprit Bumrah on the Indian side. This article will lead you through Jasprit Bumrah’s replacement for T20 World Cup 2022.

After completing the T20I leg with South Africa, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid hinted at Shami’s inclusion in the side, however, his fitness was the major issue.

“In terms of who the replacement is, we’ll have a look, we’ll see, we’ve got time till October 15. Shami obviously is someone who’s in the standbys but unfortunately for us, he couldn’t play this series, which would have been ideal from that perspective,” Dravid was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
